GREENVILLE, SC – March 4, 2014 – A.T. LOCKE, an Upstate business providing accounting services, business analysis and financial guidance to emerging and mid-sized organizations, has added Joie Moré as a Financial Analyst on the firm’s rapidly-growing team.

A native of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Moré holds a B.S. in Financial Management as well as an MBA from Clemson University. Prior to joining A.T. LOCKE, she most recently served as Controller for Agfa Healthcare, a healthcare IT company, and has also held leadership roles in finance and strategy with Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, Umbro International and Michelin Tire Corporation. She has more than 15 years of combined corporate finance and accounting experience with both domestic and international manufacturing, sales and service organizations.

Her active civic involvement includes service as a Loaned Executive for the United Way of Greenville County and as a board member for Camp Opportunity. As a Financial Analyst with A.T. LOCKE, she will assist firm clients across the Upstate and will be based out of the firm’s Greenville headquarters.

Ebony Austin Leadership Chair

We believe in supporting young leadership in Greenville, and we are proud to announce that our very own Ebony Austin is the Leadership Chair of PULSE—a LEAD program of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce that provides professional and leadership development for young professionals.

Ebony is the Director of First Impressions at A.T. LOCKE, PC. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Ebony moved to Greenville, S.C., and completed her final year of high school at Greenville Senior High. She attended Benedict College in Columbia, S.C., and relocated to Greenville to complete her Associates Degree in criminal justice at Greenville Technical College. Early in Ebony’s career, she worked as a case manager for the state of South Carolina, became a realtor for Prudential C. Dan Joyner and later for Keller Williams Realty. She served as a tactical buyer and accounts specialist for a major manufacturing company and owned and operated a local historic business in downtown Greenville. Ebony is a wife and mother who enjoys volunteering her time in the community. Ebony has been an active PULSE member for two years.

A.T. LOCKE Adds Phillip Cook as Client Services Coordinator

A native and current resident of Clinton, South Carolina, Mr. Cook holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Erskine College.  Prior to joining A.T. LOCKE, he served for two decades with Liberty Life Insurance and its successor companies in project management and operational management capacities.  While at Liberty, his responsibilities included call center management, agency administration, training, information technology initiatives, new product development/implementation, and regulatory compliance assignments.

Mr. Cook’s civic involvement includes service as church treasurer and deacon for Providence A.R.P. in Clinton, and on the Bonclarken Board of Advisors.  He is an active member of the Erskine Alumni Association.  As a Client Services Coordinator with A.T. LOCKE, he will work with A.T. LOCKE’s leadership to support all of the firm’s clients across the Upstate and Midlands from the firm’s Greenville headquarters.

Bell, Campbell Join A.T. LOCKE Team

Ms. Bell has more than two decades of experience in providing accounting and operational management support to business owners, sales and management teams in a variety of industries.  Particularly experienced in the restaurant equipment, construction and multi-family housing industries, Ms. Bell has served as both an accounting manager and operations manager in prior roles.

As a Client Services Coordinator at A.T. LOCKE, she will support a variety of individual and business clients across the Upstate from the firm’s Greenville headquarters.  She currently resides in Greer.

Ms. Campbell has more than a decade of experience in accounting, having worked with business owners and management teams across industries including construction, hospitality and retail.  She studied Interior Design at Winthrop University and Architecture at UNC-Greensboro before embarking on a professional accounting career.

As an Accounting Specialist at A.T. LOCKE, Ms. Campbell will provide accounting and operational support to help clients improve internal processes and controls while managing the profitable growth of their organizations.  She currently resides in Greer.

Mr. Kurtz began his professional career in public accounting where he worked with a variety of individual and corporate clients across a wide range of industries. He subsequently worked at a major national banking organization before joining A.T. LOCKE. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Palm Beach Atlantic University.

As an Accounting Specialist, Mr. Kurtz will work with a variety of A.T. LOCKE clients across the Upstate from the firm’s Greenville headquarters. A native of Florida, he currently resides in Simpsonville.

Mr. LaPierre joins A.T. LOCKE after working for nearly six years with a regional accounting firm where he provided accounting, tax and audit services to individuals and organizations across industries including automotive, energy and not-for-profit. A graduate of Bob Jones University, he holds a B.S. degree in Accounting.

Mr. LaPierre will serve A.T. LOCKE clients as an Accounting Analyst, providing accounting and analytical support to help clients manage the profitable growth of their organizations. He currently resides in Travelers Rest.

Anna T. Locke Joins Board of Certified Development Corporation

Anna T. Locke, CPA has been named to the Board of Directors of Certified Development Corporation of SC (CDC).

CDC was created in 1994 to arrange government-guaranteed financing for qualified borrowers under the U.S. Small Business Administration’s SBA 504 lending program.

Locke is the founder and President of A.T. LOCKE PC. A Clemson University graduate, she and her firm of experienced business professionals and CPA’s provide accounting management services to companies and not-for-profit organizations. Anna is also an active contributor to her community through service in volunteer roles for local outreach and education focused organizations.

Liberty Fellowship Announces 10th Class of Fellows

23 South Carolina Leaders Chosen from over 400 Nominations

GREENVILLE, South Carolina (July 11, 2013) – Sitting on the sidelines is not an option for members of the Liberty Fellowship Class of 2015. The 23 new Fellows announced today are action-oriented leaders with ambitious goals for a stronger South Carolina. Representing varied backgrounds and expertise, the Fellows were selected from more than 400 nominations from all regions of the state.

“Individually, the new Fellows are enormously impressive, and they join 185 other Liberty Fellows who are deeply rooted in South Carolina with the passion and the expertise to make an impact here,” commented Hayne Hipp, who co-founded Liberty Fellowship with his wife, Anna Kate.

For the lifelong program, Liberty Fellowship recruits diverse, proven leaders and immerses them in four seminars over a two-year period. Fellows reflect on what makes a just society, thereby deepening knowledge, broadening perspectives and enhancing their capacity to solve the problems leaders face in this state. During the Globalization Seminar, Fellows interact with Fellows from the Aspen Global Leadership Network in locations such as South Africa, Jordan, India and China. Additionally, during the first two years of the program, each Liberty Fellow is paired with a mentor and commits to a personal leadership project focused on South Carolina.

“Each class is carefully crafted so that the Fellow differences complement one another,” added Executive Director Jennie Johnson. “It is through this class mosaic that Fellows build trust with those of different perspectives and, ultimately, are accountable to one another to engage in leadership that will move South Carolina forward.”
